John's Diner
18260 Detroit Ave
Cleveland, Ohio 44107
WorkPhone: (216) 228-0871
The shape and ambiance of John's diner indicates it maybe once was a boxcar, or perhaps somebody's trailer. Who knows? It's been a Lakewood fixture since Lakewood had wood: There are tell-tale photos lining the diner's front-porch waiting area, helicopter shots of the restaurant when its only neighbors were trees.
The food is greasy and fast, but it's what it should be for a diner. With fare far from light but great for the price, John's offers the usual morning meat-platter delights ($3.25-5.50): pork chops and eggs, rib steak and eggs, ham steak and eggs, and strip steak and eggs. It's hard-core, comatose eating, and you will most definitely seal your fate by ordering the pancakes. And like the menu motto reads, "If you are satisfied, tell your friends. If not, tell us."

Outback Steakhouse - Westlake Website
At Outback, our attitude towards life is down-to-earth, laid-back, 'no worries'. Our attitude toward food is another story. It's a story about big, bold flavors, a story about quality, consistency and preparation. We take great pride in serving the freshest, highest-quality food possible. Every day we start out fresh, making every one of our soups, salad dressings and sauces from scratch. We don't cut corners and we don't settle when it comes to authentic tastes, like our imported Danish Blue Cheese, our toasted hand-cut croutons or our homemade chocolate sauce. At Outback, it's all about quality — and all about the food.
Pier W
Winton Place 12700 Lake Avenue
Lakewood, Ohio 44107
Pier W, a Cleveland institution since 1965, sits right at the edge of Lake Erie along Lakewood's "Gold Coast," about five miles from downtown. The specialty in this nautically-themed restaurant is seafood and the views of downtown are spectacular.
Located on the ground level of the venerable Winton Place Condominium Building, Pier W is known for its halibut tacos appetizer, its simply prepared local and freshly flown-in fish, and its grilled meats. The menu is somewhat "old school," but that's part of the charm.

CELEBRATING 10 GREAT YEARS IN RIVER
Salmon Dave’s Pacific Grille seems right at home perched on a ledge overlooking the Rocky River. True to its namesake, overnight flights from Yukon day boats provide for the freshest wild Alaskan salmon in town. An exotic martini to chill the Pacific-rim influence of the food - the perfect way to help us celebrate our tenth anniversary.
Salmon Dave’s Pacific Grille rests just across the bridge from Lakewood in (appropriately) Rocky River. The menu features the fusion of Asian cuisine with the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Our long-standing relationships with private independent fisherman in Alaska purvey a superior product that no one can match.
A unique semi-private dining room can accommodate larger parties without the sense of being isolated. The bar area is reminiscent of a Gold Rush Era saloon, and the award-winning wine list provides a source for adventure and discovery. Salmon Dave’s talented chefs and expert staff contribute the final ingredient to a wonderful evening or enjoyable lunch.
The Winking Lizard - Lakewood
14018 Detroit Road
Lakewood, Ohio 44107
WorkPhone: (216) 225-6693
The Lakewood Winking Lizard, the eleventh location of this popular Cleveland-based chain, is located on busy Detroit Road in Lakewood. It’s a unique restaurant, housed in a 1915 Arts and Crafts-style building that once housed the Lakewood Tennis Club and, more recently, the Lakewood Elks Club. Much of the architectural detail has been preserved, including two brick wood-burning fireplaces, an Art Deco-style domed ceiling, and a six-lane bowling alley downstairs. Separate rooms allow families to dine away from the bar crowd. The former stage, located in the bar area, hosts live music on the weekends.
